The objective
The Challenge

Salesforce, a company known for pushing boundaries in every aspect, was facing a common challenge: a post-COVID hangover of WFH (work from home) and an underutilised office space. They wanted to turn this challenge into an opportunity by creating a unique, engaging experience for employees and visitors. Traditional onboarding tools like videos and PowerPoint presentations weren’t cutting it anymore. Salesforce sought a solution that would not only showcase their innovative culture but also make their physical spaces come alive.

The Solution

Imvizar partnered with Salesforce to develop an immersive augmented reality (AR) experience within their Salesforce Tower in Dublin. With expertise in transforming physical spaces into engaging, interactive experiences, we were uniquely suited to turn the Salesforce Tower into a vibrant environment to better connect employees and visitors to the space. Our goal was to create a dynamic, interactive journey that employees, customers, and community groups could explore at their own pace.

The solution involved placing 10 augmented reality trigger points throughout the building, each linked to a unique AR experience. These stories, accessible via QR codes, were designed to be easily viewed on any mobile device, ensuring broad accessibility. Each story, narrated by a Salesforce employee, highlighted different aspects of the building and the company’s culture, from the sustainable design elements to the vibrant history of the tower.

The experience was designed to be flexible—users could engage with the AR points in any order, as many times as they liked. To encourage full participation, completing the entire tour unlocked a special bonus AR experience, available anywhere in the world, providing a lasting memento of the journey.

The Benefits

The AR experience delivered by Imvizar transformed how employees and visitors interacted with the Salesforce Tower:

Scalability: The project’s success in Dublin has paved the way for expansion to other Salesforce offices globally, offering a consistent, engaging experience across locations.

Through this project, Salesforce discovered the power of spatial storytelling. The shared visual experiences fostered a deeper connection between people and the spaces they occupied, enriching their understanding of Salesforce’s values and culture.

Following the success of the Salesforce Tower Dublin project, we have continued to work with Salesforce to deliver similar AR experiences in other locations. More details on these exciting projects will be shared soon.
