Aveiro Techdays is an annual event which brings together the best of emerging technology. Aimed at startups, scaleups and R&D institutions, the Aveiro Urban Challenges aims to reward the best ideas and solutions for solving urban challenges. Aveiro is a city with strong tourism and a focus on innovation. Both of these combined led to a strong interest in the Imivzar platform.
We are delighted to announce Imvizar was awarded 2nd Place and a prize of €8000.
As part of the challenge we are developing an immersive experience to celebrate the life of Eça de Queiroz, one of Portugal's most famous writers and the role is grandfather, Joaquim Jose de Queiroz, played in the revolution of 1828.
The experience will give visitors to, and citizens of, Aveiro an opportunity to engage in this rich history in an interactive and engaging way. It will also be used with local school children as part of their education on Eça.
During the Techdays event in Aveiro we were delighted to get the opportunity to present the the Imvizar app to the Mayor Aveiro, CEO of altice Networks and Head of the University of Aveiro.
